Google "Toad Charge" ...guy with an Edge had one on our Alaska caravan last summer. I got one for my 2005 Honda Odyssey and found it easy to install and have had no more dead battery problems. I WOULD recommend you buy the kit with no connectors. I bought 2 wire towing connectors at an auto parts store rather than use the ones that came with the kit.

If your MH plug outlet was wired for full operation from factory its easy
Just use a 7 pole male plug on your toad wiring and add in a double 10 gauge charge wire.white for ground and red for charge wire
Use a pigtail couple at battery. When I plug in my toad I also plug in this 2 wire set up taped to the tow wire system and plug it in at pigtail at the battery connections its easy

In addition, you should add a 20A re-set fuse at the MH connection and the car battery connection to avoid a meltdown if the is a problem.

Run a # 10 or 12 wire from the coach battery ( fused W/ 20 A fuse or breaker) at the coach battery and also at the Toad battery, i used the center post of my 7 way plug or the same on the 6 way. We never had a battery problem on out 2011 Edge with the charge wire.

The 7 pole plug if properly wired would have a protected circuit of B+ to maintain the charge of an electric brake back up battery. This circuit can be used to maintain the dingy as well.
