Would like a convertible for flat towing
Hi everyone
I have a 45 2005 Magna 630. I’m looking for a flat tow that I will enjoy on and off the rig. Any suggestions for a convertible. Wife prefers the non Jeep option

I don’t think you will find many options to choose from. I believe I have seen people tow Miata’s with a manual transmission. I have heard that the Nissan 370Z Roadster can as well, also manual only.

Miatas are fun (have one) and tow-able, with a manual trans but there is room in them for two people and a thin ham sandwich. They really don't ride better than a Jeep, but the do handle better!

Not exactly sure what "On and off the rig" means. Anyway, a convertible is nice in many respects but, just as a tad bit of a warning, if you find one of your liking and, it's flat towable, DO TOW IT WITH THE TOP UP. Things get pretty dirty back there. Not so much because of being a diesel pusher but, behind a coach in general. And, a D/P will also contribute to the inevitability of getting dirty too. Just some info for ya.

Pulled a Miata all around the country and Cousin Ed is wrong about one thin sandwich.
We were able to get TWO thin sandwiches in ours.

Remco will tell you how to make a car flat towable if it's possible.

If you don't mind used, Pontiac G6 convertibles are towable 4 down. They were built from 2005 thru 2010. I don't remember if all years were available with the retractable hard top or not. I do know the retractable hard top was available in 2008 until 2010 when Pontiac was shut down.

I think manual trans versions of these cars can be flat towed
Infiniti G37/Q60 up to 2014
Mini Cooper
VW Beetle
I’ve seen a used BMW Z4 being towed. I assume manual trans

How about a manual Mustang convertible? I think all manual trans vehicles are 4 down towable.

Ford say the 2018 Mustang is not towable.

I flat tow a Mini Cooper S convertible manual with no problems. Added a bike rack to it also.
