Hi ya'll,
I just picked up a GPL folding 7 foot ladder. This is a very cool ladder that folds up and you end up with something like a 4x4 to slide into the basement. If you need to carry a ladder this is worth a look see.

Where did you buy it and how much was it. I did a search but the one I found wasn't 4 ft folded.

Thanks Dick

It appears you can climb either side. Is that correct? Thanks

If you get the 7ft model, when folded it will be apx 4" x 4" x 7 ft. There are also 6ft and 8 ft models I believe. And yes, you can climb either side. I believe I got mine from Camping World several years ago, but think other places (Lowes?/Home Depot?) have them now. I believe some Winnebago coaches now come with, complete with a little swing-out container to slide it into!!!

I got my 7' from PPL online for just under $200 bucks. After that I found them at camping world for a bit less also. Sears has them and lots of other places online. The only folding ladders at Home Depot and Lowes I found were like the little giant type. This GPL style is much smaller and easier to pack. That is if you have a basement that goes all the way across the width of your coach. I have not seen an 8' footer anywhere. That might be just a bit to tight, I'm 8' foot across now.

I got one with the New To Us Coach! It seemed a little flimsy until I figured out how to Lock it! No Instructions with it but has a nice carry/storage Bag !

I have the 7 footer and it works well. Folds to about 4" x 4" and 7 feet long.

I have the 7 footer with steps on both sides, makes it more solid when standing on it. plus they have a higher weight capacity then most, that helps us out where inflation has hot our mid sections.....

i have the 2 sided 7' gpl ladder. the only problem i have with it is that the rungs are so narrow that they hurt my feet unless i am wearing thick hard soled shoes.
i bought the "red top" top shelf from gpl. once installed, the top folds with the ladder for storage.

Where did you buy your red top accessory? I couldn't find a source for it when I looked a year or so ago.

That is cool the way is folds up, but I don't have a pass thru basement so no go here. I got the Gorilla (an affordable Little Giant) from Home Depot as a Christmas special 2 years ago for $99. 5.5' stepladder or an (up to) 11' extension ladder. Having a 11' ladder really is handy for a 12' high RV. Very steady, 300# rated, lifetime warranty. Bolted a couple of hangers on the rear ladder to hold it. Very happy.
