can someone please tell me how to reset the oil gauge on a 2005 8.1 gasoline workhorse eng. can't get "change engine oil" off. could not find any info. in manual. THX. LEE

It's buried in the manual under the "Features and Controls" section.

After changing the oil, turn the ignition switch to "on" position but do not start the engine. Fully press and release the accellerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds, and then turn the ignition to "off" for at least 10 seconds. (this is the same process for most new GM engines)

Lee, if you have a service center change your oil, its always a good idea to repleat this procedure. You could also go into the main menu for the panel and check the "Oil Life Remaining". Press the "Mode" button for 10 sec., then scroll up or down the menu (using mode or trip buttons)to the oil life section, if you leave the highlited item for 5 sec. the info will be displayed.

Fred, THX'S for the new info. every bit counts. That is something i did not know how to do. I was told that you could do something like that, to get info. on things like "most rpm your eng. has gone" and ect. THX. again Lee
