1987 Ford 460 questions

Does a 1987 Coachmen Catalina with a 460 carbureted engine have a fuel pump in the tank? Also, is the fuel sending unit separate from the fuel pump? Anyone have part numbers for the fuel pump and/or fuel sending unit? Thanks for any info!

If it has a carb, Good bet the pump is on the engine.
If you are have fuel delivery problems The fuel filter is always the cheapest part to replace and first thing to check/replace.
Even if you install any other parts A new filter is REALLY a good idea.

Fuel sending unit

Hello,

i'm new to rv's we just purchased a used 1984 ford econoline 350 v8 460 jamboree... And i have no clue on anything i just know how
to drive it... But i came across this great auto parts supply it's called "rockauto.com" very easy site to go through, they have picture's of the parts or diagrams of the parts and they are
very helpful. I just went through the online and ordered parts
for me to do a tune-up. And you wont believe how cheap they are.
I even had ordered my seat cover from them they have a wide variety of selection check them out if not for your rv for your
own vehicles as well. I did..... Good luck.

My 1988 ('87 chassis) Jamboree 27' has a 460, carb. Fuel pump and gauge sending unit is one unit, inside the fuel tank. Bear to get to; gotta drop the tank. I replaced mine a couple years ago, most places wanted $200-$300, got it from Rockauto.com for $167, shipped to my door. Lots of different units available, though, depending on MH length, fuel tank size/location, generator pickup, etc. Best bet is to pull yours out and then match it up (Rockauto has picsof most). Mine was Airtex #E2060S.

Thanks for the info, the tank is about empty so I'll drop it and check the pumps p/n as you suggest. Thanks again!
