1999 Catalina Sport

I'm from Hawaii, so I'm very green when it comes to RVing. I'm looking at a 1999 Catalina Sport which is 21ft. Everything works well with 109k miles on its ford V10 engine. With that limited info, does $11,000 makes sense for a purchase price? I was also thinking of having a ford dealer look over the engine etc, seeing as it's a craigslist purchase. Thanks for your help. Any tips with a first purchase would be helpful. Hoping to make it from Florida to California! Thanks!

Welcome to iRV2.

Having the Ford dealer check things out is a good idea.

For more info on checking the rig out , go to the " Files " drop box , in the dark blue bar , across the page under the Google search box , and download the " Buyers Check List " It's kind of set for diesels but lots of ideas of what to look for in any RV.

I bought the catalina 23 ft but it was a 2000. It had 55,000 miles and I bought it for around 11,000 miles. It did however have a bit of water damage that I had to fix plus add new tires. I'd suggest getting it checked out by an rv tech. Btw- I love mine!
