1999 coachman Catalina noobie question

I just bought my 1999 Coachman Catalina. If just the electric in flipped on, should just the fridge and radio work? Curious if the outlets and / or overhead ac should be working too. Or would this require the generator to be on? Thanks for your help!

Your roof air, outlets, and microwave require 120 volts which comes from shore power or your generator. Your refrigerator can work off propane or 120 volts, but still needs 12volts from your house battery to operate. Your overhead lights run off your house battery. I had a 1997 Coachmen Catalina and the dash radio in that unit ran off the 12 volt power from the house battery, not the engine battery. I'm not sure what you mean by flipping the electric on.

Thanks!

Ok that completely answers my question and makes sense when you mention the voltage requirements. Thank you much!
