It depends on what rig you have. If you have a 32 foot with 3 slide outs then the scales may need to be recalibrated.

No it's a 32 foot 1 slide and I,m new at figuring the tire pressures. This is very close to the Placard and full gas, propane and some water. Just trying to get a ballpark. They are a Certified Cat scale at a busy truck stop so I figured it's pretty close.

Looks pretty reasonable to me. Leaves you enough room for people and stuff. Ours is about the same.

Davinger, I don't understand your comment on recalibrating scales? Surely I drive a motorhome on to the scales at a Flying J putting the front axle on first and then the entire MH and then the rear axle only I can trust the weights? I'm mystified by your comment. Would you be kind enough to elaborate in case we are all missing something.

Was the original post. It failed to mention the number of slides. Which is important information in determining the correct weight. If they had a 32 foot RV with 3 slides 12600 would be a little low. But in their next post they said they had a 32 foot with one slide and that would be a good weight and a decent distribution. If it is a newer RV with a GVWR of 14500LBS they have plenty of room for more gear!

Generally the scales at the weigh stations are kept in better shape than the DOT scales. The tire pressures should be written on the inside of the driver door just be sure that you have the correct load range tire for your application. Also make sure that your tires haven't past their shelf life.

On my unit the rear tires all 4 of them are recommended to be 80 and the front at 75 I took mine to a moving company and had it weighed and got the following results.

Steering Axle Net 4420
Drive Axle Net 9360
Gross Weight 13780

That was with a full tank of gas and I wasn't inside... Not a lot of room for more gear.

I guess one of us was confused and I think it was you. He reported the actual weight and the header indicates it is a 2011 and 32 feet long - and thus the number of slides is irrelevant as that is reflected in the weight reported when it was on the scale (yes, more slides usually result in more weight). So there sure was no adjustment required to the scale.

Given it is a 2011 we then know that the GVWR is 14,500 as no manufacturer builds a 32 footer on an E350.
