2013 Winnebago View 24J

We are purchasing the above MH and the dealer assures us this has an
Allison transmission. I find no evidence of that just a 5 speed tip shift. Does anyone have any info on this please.
Thank you
Bonnie and Dennis

Hi, all Mercedes Sprinters are equipped with their own - MB transmissions.
The salesman is WRONG!

On some Sprinters as a option Mercedes offers new four cylindrer turbo Diesel engine in combination with a 7 speed automatic transmissions and low resistance tires, but I don't know if this would be available in the USA.

These types of RV units are based on Mercedes Benz/Sprinter units with their own transmissions. For the Winnebago View and View Profile models, these are typically 3.0 litre 6 cylinder turbo diesel engines mated to a 5 speed automatic transmission.........NOT an Allison Transmisiion.

If the salesman is assuring you otherwise, what else doesn't he know about his products? Is an Allison transmission a decision factor for this purchase? The proof would be if he can show you your concerns in print.
