2015 Ford 5 Speed Trans...

any one else have one that can talk about the trans???

I think ford must have re programed the trans... doesn't do the hard down shift on ours....

I've got a 14 E350 chassis and it shifts smooth after I got about 1000 miles on it. It's quick to downshift but does it smoothly.

Did you go and buy a different MH again?

I got the 2015 e450... seems complete normal the way it down shifts now

while pulling the trailer.. when it down shifted to 4th it hung there quite a ways... where as be fore it would go to 3rd then back to 4th

yeah... that dp wasn't for me, that and we bought a house in havasu..

Sounds like you're headed toward your ideal setup. I'm still kicking around the idea of getting your 22.5" wheels.

That's a pretty good idea. I can see what they are doing with the 2016 F53. Although they've down graded the horsepower, they lowered the HP curve so that max hp is at 3000 rpm. The torque has been increased slightly and its max is around 4800 rpm. With the six speed tranny it should shift up smoothly through the gears without going above 3000 rpm.

When climbing we need the torque not the hp and that will play right into the setup's strength. The result should be that it will resemble the way the Workhorse chassis was set up. Very tempting.

They've just started producing the 2016 F53, so it'll be a while before the mh manufacturer's 2015 inventory is depleted and the 2016 starts showing up in the mh's.
