2015 Thor Freedom Elite 23H

Just got our first class c!!! I had a 5th wheel 10 yrs ago but after a few nasty hotel rooms during dog show weekends, it tipped DH toward taking the plunge for the rv. Will be taking the maiden voyage next weekend (only a 2.5 hr one-way trip). Luckily the dog show is at a place that has a bathroom and shower, so only planning on having minimum fresh water in the tank. Planning the menu now, lots of things I can microwave or sandwiches. Washing the king sheet now that will cover the dinnette to minimize dog hair. No carpet in the unit!!

With a brand new rv, I don't suspect I'll be posting on here as far as maintenance or issues (crossing fingers). We did get the 5 yr extended coverage through Good Sam though.

Congratulations on your brand new RV!

Most problems show up quickly on a brand new unit. Then get worked out and things get simple for a good while.

Be prepared for a few bugs.

Super! We are very happy for you! We just got the same, but in a 28H version. What dog show are you going to? We live in Salem, OR and have 4 Pomeranians. Good luck on your maiden voyage!

Mostly agility, but we also do dock diving and barn hunt.

Good luck, you will more than likely find some things wrong on your maiden voyage and the first few months you use your bus. If you don't you will be one of the lucky ones. At any rate, try to make any adjustments/repairs yourself and don't get discouraged if you have to wait a few weeks for parts or service. That is NOT out of the ordinary. Just hang in there and the more you use it the better it gets. Good luck ya'll
