2016 Coachman Freelander 22QBRS

Hi, we just purchased our first RV yesterday. So, newbie would be an understatement. We got the 2016 Coachman Freelander 22QBRS. After spending the night there so we could get used to the RV, one thing we forgot to ask, how can we quiet down the air flow noise from the air-conditioner? I'm looking forward to hearing what you long time owners have for us newbies. If you have any advise, please share.

Ugggh! Those a/c and furnace fans are ridiculously noisy. If you're going to be plugged in, you could consider a small, portable a/c but you'd have to fit the exhaust to a window or through the floor or something. Otherwise, try to get a shady spot and run your Fantastic fan to minimize the use of a/c. Consider some window awnings and definitely put that shiny, foily, reflecty stuff in your cab windows.

I'll follow this thread to see what other advice you're offered as we are somewhat new to this stuff as well!

Unfortunately there is no way to "quiet it down", especially in a small 22 foot rig. RV ac units are noisey, no way to get around it.
If your ac has a two speed fan, you might try putting it on low along with a small occelating fan to circulate the air.
Also, don't know if your Coachman is ducted or not, but if it is usually running it through the ducts is the quieter option.

Thanks RogerRoll, We haven't even made our first trip yet, so, hoping we will just get used to the noise. One good part, it might keep our dogs from hearing all the outside noise. Got to look for the good, right?

Thanks Grumpy, I was afraid we would just have to live with the noise. The air is ducted in the RV, which you say is less noisy, I would hate to hear how loud it would be if it wasn't ducted. We are planning our first trip and plan on leaving in two weeks. Guess we will just have to see how it goes. Thanks for the info.
