I left the Rv shop yesterday just having had a solar system installed and 2 new deep cycle 6 volt batteries installed. Upon my drive home and park, I noticed a continual humming come from the battery compartment. I walked away thinking this would cease but after an hour I returned to the ongoing humming. What is causing this?? I undid all the connections to the battery at that point .
Could it be Because this is such a tight fit and the batteries are touching??
Thanks!

You've done the right thing , by disconnecting the batteries.
Now call the installer, and explain the issue, chances are very good you've got a defective battery, or, if the solar charge rate controller is close by, it could be making the noise , but it shouldn't.

Obviously, the batteries don't know the words. Ba-dump-bum.
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
