Access to overhead bunk

I have a Class C with no slideouts. I have a ladder to access the overhead bunk which works fine if the couch is not folded out for a bed. If the couch is folded out for a bead the ladder will not work. Does anyone have an idea of how to access the overhead bunk when using the couch/bed?

Clear the aisles, then starting at the rear of the coach, run forward as fast as possible towards the couch bed, then jump on it and using it as a springboard, vault into the cabover bunk. Try to "stick" your landing for the judges. Good luck.

Best idea I've seen involved the rung of a boat swimming-platform ladder like the one shown in this picture:

He mounted just the U-shaped rung onto the bottom of the bed insert board. It hinged so that, when not in use, you pushed it up under the bed and clipped it into a broom-handle clip to keep it up. You can find them in varying lengths.

Some bunks are actually designed to access by climbing on the sofa or dinette instead of a step ladder.
