Hi , I'm looking to go from a travel trailer to class c motorhome.

I looking at a used 2006 Winnebago Outlook 25F for $55,000. The motorhome has 6000 miles on it and the owner says the little things were taken care of under warranty and no problems with the engine and transmission.

I wondering if $55,000 is a good price?

I am also curious if anyone has the new 5 speed, tow/haul ford tramission and how they like it? Thanks

I would go to the NADA web site to get the used RV price.

According to the NADA guide this unit has an average retail of around $62000, so the price you were quoted of $55,000 'seems' pretty good. I would definitely get some type of assurance from the dealer and make sure the original owner vehicle warranties are transferrable ..... Also do a complete walkaround and look for anything suspicious .... wonder why it was traded?

Regarding the 5 speed; we took ours out for the first time last weekend, and I thought it worked really well in the mountains. It was only Mt. Madonna, but that road is really steep. The tow/haul mode gave me more torque going up the mountain, and plenty of engine-braking coming back down. We'll try it with the toad this weekend, if I can get the tow bar and wiring done this week.

Hard to say, what are the options? Mine was $82000 msrp. and I bought it for $60000 last year new (2700 miles). I would try closer to $50000 but it depends on the options. Does the owner have the option sheet? I would need more information about it before I made an offer.
