Alternator troubles

I have a 1986 E350 with a 460 in it. Iím trying to get the alternator out, but the top bolt isnít coming out all the way and seems to be caught on a couple threads. Can I get it out without pulling the radiator?

That's going to be a really tough one not being able to see it. If it is going through a mounting bracket you may need to at least loosen the bolts holding the bracket and see if that allows the bolt enough freedom to clear your obstacle. Are the threads of the bolt still in the engine or not clearing the bracket?
