Any Coachman Freedom Express/Freelander Owners ?

I recently bought a slightly used 2008 21 Q Freedom Express 26' with just 2200 miles on it from a private owner. Ive now got 16,000 miles on it with no problems . Ive fixed a couple of annoying rattles in the coach area but other than that, its been dependable. Was wondering how yours has been ... especially if you have racked up some miles on it. I just LOVE the huge 103 cu. ft. exterior storage bin for larger things. I find it to be very comfortable to drive for 6 hours at a time, and for sleeping. Ive added a new 115 v. outlet by the galley , a 400 w. Inverter for powering the LapTop and/or CrockPot while going down the road , added sound speakers in the overhead cabinet above the kitchen table , and slowed down the Fantastic Fan by 50% since its right over the rear bed ; now its much much quieter.

Give us a rundown on yours. Thanks, David. Solo RVer.

Hi there David. We've had our Freelander since April and have really enjoyed using it.
We've only taken one long trip with it, most of our outings have been local weekend getaways. We've only changed a couple of things, one was to add padding to the thin mattress which made it perfect for sleeping but impossible to sit up in bed because of the overhead cabinet. But, it's workable. We put a larger TV up front and put the one that came with the rig in the bedroom. I cut sections out of foil windshield covers to put in some windows to block the sun. When the temp gets in the upper 90's that air conditioner did not keep the rv cool enough for me. What a difference that made.

I like your idea of adding a inverter so you can use the crockpot or laptop. That would have been perfect for us on that long trip we took.

I agree, the outdoor storage bin is amazing. It's bigger than the one we had in our 5th wheel and it was big!
