I have a persistant squeak in my '03 chassis E450. It sounds as though it is coming from under the front of the step well on the passenger side. It only makes noise when on bumpy roads or going over bumps.

It is not so much a high pitched squeak as a grating or scraping sound. Could it be the rubber body mounting washers?

Has anyone had this problem? Solutions? Thanks.

I have found some steps that squeeked on Kodiak chassis but nothing so far on the E450's to be consistant.

lube it all at the moving oints and then maybe it needs a rubber cushion where the steps come together when it is closed.
