Awning do not stay out

I have an electric awning and when I press the switch to let it out no problem until I release the switch and not even two second the awning rolled back in. There is no winds and when I brought the RV i was told that the awning have no senses is just electric. The awning is carefree.

The switch on my electric awning is very sensitive. I find it easy to change direction of the awning when taking my finger off the switch. Are you perhaps pressing the bottom button on the switch when releasing the switch, or are you holding it so long that it is all the way out and retracting before you release the switch. Have you tried just touching the switch for a second or two, then releasing it. Would it still retract ?

Hi Mich, thanks I took the rig in to the tech and the awning worked well. He shows me the senses and he said any slight of wind hit it at a certain angle could have made the awning go in. I came home and open the awning and so far working great.

Glad to hear it's working OK.
I don't believe mine has any sensors, but I hardly ever use an awning anyway, whether electric or manual.

With our Carefree, we have a separate switch that I can turn off the wind sensor if I want to, and quite often I do If I'm outside and there's a slight breeze and the awning wants to roll of to quickly for such a little breeze.

If it is an A&E weather pro (and possibly some other makes) if you find the actual control box (A big black box that is likely in a nearby cabinet) on the side (likely left) is a toggle switch

This will disable the wind sensor.

At least on the "Old style" with the "lighthouse" type wind sensor.
