Back up camera problem - Winnebago
Hello,
OK - new owners (yesterday) of a Minni Winnie 31KP. The backup camea and side camera are activated by turn signs or putting the MH in reverse or manual selection of rear camera.
All stopped working and it was getting late and I needed to be home (200 miles from dealer) so we stayed awhile and they located the issue but not sure it is completely resolved so we will probably take it to a closer dealer.
HOWEVER, just in case someone has had this issue you might be able to share your experience and solution. Under the steering wheel is a plastic cover and when that was unsnapped the cameras worked and snapped they did not. The dealer tech staying late and found a small wire that seemed to be the problem. Looks like and antenna to me to receive signals from the cameras. He*thought* the pannel going back on was causing the wire to bind and he found what he thought was a connector might have been pulling loose when he snapped the plastic piece back on. He rerouted that wire and it definitely helped. On the 200 mile trip home the cameras mostly worked - went out a couple of times on a bump and then back good. Currently still working this morning.
Again, any experience and thoughts greatly appreciated.
On a real positive note I think we will enjoy the MH very much.
