Buying Old Motorhome's

While I was concerned about the Age rule, I was relieved when I found that there are places that are more than open to older looking vehicles.
when I booked a spot in Ouray, Co they asked what kind of RV I had.
I came right out and told them it was a larger home built Class C.
I assured them it was sound and safe and I as a fomer police officer was not a person they should be concerned about. Once i was there They said liked my low dollar ideas for a RV.
When I am asked about its age I ask which part?

The better half and I camp in a '67 Serro Scotty and have never been denied. We recently aquired a 66 Dodge MH, look forward to many trips in this!

We have a 1989 Foretravel Grand Villa and have never been turned down at any CGs. In fact, after we are set up we have had owners of newer coaches come over and remark how beautiful our coach is and can't get over that it is 24 years old.
Condition of your coach and the owner's deportment/conduct are paramount to acceptance almost everywhere.

This is quite spartan compared to most RVs. I travel alone and stay in campgrounds so it was much simpler to build without a bathroom, shower,or plumbing of any kind. It does have a Queen size bed, a 5 foot tall fridge, and a microwave.

I haven't taken any this year. I've only made a few changes in the last year.
I added AC in the back, put down the 1/2 ich grey foam on the floor.
THat is all for the inside. I'll get some pics posted up in the next month in my build thread.

when considering a class C, Look at the leg room on the passenger side. The most common complaint I heard from my customers was the fact that the wife had to ride with her legs in a small cramped area. Almost all my customers traded up to a class A because of this one problem. On the plus side, most liked the easy in and out of the cab doors.
