Cab headsets?

Anyone know of a good headset/microphone option for the driver and passenger? Our Forester cab is too loud to hear the music clearly or even talk comfortably, I was thinking a wireless headset with Bluetooth, something like what motorcycle riders wear, but haven't found much mention out there.

Bose makes an excellent noise cancellation headset which will block outside noise and it has built in bluetooth so you can connect to your music source. However they aren't cheap. Around $349 each.

Happy Trails!!!

this is for a honda but, it gives you an Idea. I use an JL Audio (MBT-RX) for my stereo conversion in my MH project they maybe a little more affordable. Good luck on your quest

You may want to double check on the use of a two-ear headset while driving. In Michigan, I've been pulled over several times until I finally learned not to wear "wow, I can see those headphones from 300 yards away" size.

Ok now a single side "Communications" headset is ok but you may find a few states get a tad upset if both ears are covered...

That said I really like my bose noise cancellers.. Just not when I'm driving

I have actually chewed out a STATE POLICE TROOPER for wearing headphones as he drove believe it or not (And yes I got away with it) He was in his private car in the parking lot where I'd just parked. But then I was his dispatcher. (Why I knew he was a trooper).

We parted friends (he said "oops")

but I'd not wear headsets while driving.

I would be wondering why your cab is so loud.. If the sound is rushing wind or whistly then inspect your windshield and side window seals very very carefully.. Good change there is a gap.

First off, welcome to iRV2!

Second, you should add a signature to your user profile. It gets appended to each post, and often includes details about your coach, toad, etc., that would be tedious to type into each post. Instructions for adding a signature are here.

Finally, I've had my eye on these EarTec headsets. Haven't had to buy any yet, though. Our coach runs more quietly than I expected.

Our coach is about as quiet as our living room at home. We bought the Eartech UL2s? but it was for maneuvering the rig at home or while pulling in to a new campground. It is WONDERFUL to communicate in conversational tones, the windows shut, very few hand signals and much better for our marriage.

I'd buy them again in a heartbeat and my wife loves them more than I do.

I bought an inexpensive bluetube earwig on Amazon for $16. You get the music but can still hear what is going on around you (DW, coach and traffic).
