cabin pulling apart!

Hi there RV folks. We have a '91seven seas by cobra on a Toyota truck body. It's great. Recently the part above the cabin had started to crack and when we drive the bed frame above the passenger seat visibly sways and has broken off from the wall on both sides.
It seems like the front third of the camper is somehow dIsconnected or breaking of from the rest. We have thought about welding some big support brackets onto the hood to keep it up. We're wondering if anyone had seen this before or had any suggestions.
I'm not sure if I can post pictures but I will try.
Any thoughts?

I think I'd start underneath. Make sure all the body to frame fasteners are still there and not rusted through. To have movement like that overhead speaks to a weak body/frame connection.
