Camco Jack Stands

Has anybody used these to stabilize their Class C?

Where did you place them? Not to level the RV, just to lessen the wobble.

Thanks!

I would say anywhere on the frame. the more away from center is better. Would you be using blocks to level? Thinking about this myself. to eliminate that slight roll

I built 4 of these out of steel (I made them as large as possible) and used heavy duty ratchet straps. Hands down the best thing I have found to take the wobble out of the coach.

Sikoriko, never had the need to level my 31 foot Class C with blocks. We mostly stay in provincial campgrounds, Alberta and BC. For the most part, they're graded very well. In some boondocking sites, I just eyeball the ground and move the RV as needed. Wife and toddlers never complained about how level it was, just the bounce during the middle of the night if someone has to get up.

Purchased the jack stands at walmart today. I'll try them out this weekend and let you know.

Try this image. This is what I based my stabilizers on.

Thanks

I use these exact stands for exactly what your intended use is. I have a 16 year old in front bunk who couldn't sleep still if you paid him. So I am familiar with the rolling that can occur at times.

After the unit is leveled with regular stacking blocks at where ever I may be, I use four more blocks under each of my four stands. I place two in the rear of the unit on the frame rails near the "skid" bars on the back of my 31 footer. I then place two more on the frame usually near the transmission. Or if I don't feel like crawling that much, on the frame in front by the front bumper.

I started this year and it has eliminated the issue completely.

I built 4 of them and place one as far forward as possible and one as far back as possible. The other two are directly behind the step on the frame and just in front of the rear tire on the frame. Its not quite like home but its the best stability of any one I've ever been in.

Thanks
Adam

For those that use the Camco Jack Stands, do you only hand snug them under the frame or do you use a bottle jack to raise the frame and then let the frame down onto the jack stand?
If you do raise the frame first, how high do you raise it?
Thanks!
