Can't remove window screens

I have a 31' Safari class C motorhome, having problem removing window screens. I've tried pushing them up and pulling them down with no luck.
No sure if i'm not pushing or pulling enough. They seem to ride in a plastic channel and i'm afraid to pry to hard on the plastic channel, the unit is a 99 and thinking the plastic might be brittle. No idea who the window manufacture was.

Thanks in advance for any help

Be thankful they move. I found a window on my new to me MH that would not move. That was more than a few bucks to fix. As I recall, you push it down and tip it out.

Most RV I have found. Push up and pull out from bottom.

Same as above, push up pull out. There are small leaf type springs in the top track.

Was able to get two window screens out, no easy task, nothing like people were saying, push up and down, just did not work in my coach. No small leaf springs on top or the bottom. Maybe my windows predate the leaf springs or the manufacture just didn't use them. As I said in my original post these screens run in a plastic channel and was worried I might break it trying to get the screen out, well, you guessed it, I broke it. Cannel or track whatever it's called is 50" in length and about 3/8" in depth, I'm sure it still available somewhere. If any one knows where I might fine that plastic channel please pass it on. Will work at it one window at a time and hopefully learn as I go. Good thing I'm retired and don't charge by the hour.

Theo07 did you ever find that channel? We just acquired a '92 Coachmen Santara (class A diesel pusher; our first RV - we are complete newbies!) and sounds like it has the same type of window screen channel. No springs anywhere. Spline is pulling out of several screens and I want to fix them but haven't figured out how to get the screens out - was thinking that the channel had to be removed but have been hesitant to work the old plastic too hard lest it crumble.... Any other tips / suggestions you have are welcome!

handy2sum Sorry for the slow reply. I did find the window tracks. Pelland Enterprises, pallandent.com

The track I needed was a Hehr screen track. Came in 6' lengths them you cut to desired length, worked well. Good luck.

Thanks so much Theo07! Based on your previous post I very carefully removed the tracks and then the screen from one window. Cracked the lower track a bit getting it out but... repaired the screen (fortunately just needed to work the spline back into the groove - screen itself was ok) and tonight put it all back together. Cleaned out the window frame and then used some silicone lube spray to help make gliding the bottom cracked track back in a bit easier. Hadn't braved doing other screens as I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find replacement track so thanks so much for the lead!

Recently had mine all out for window tint installation. I read a tip to use a wide blade putty knife to spread out the stress along the plastic track. Closest thing I had was a cement trowel and it worked great. Thin and strong.
