Wink Chrysler/Dodge Class C Motorhomes

Does anyone know if Dodge is back into having a chassis for motorhomes?++++ I sure hope the foreign markets don't take over this market as they have the auto market! When you purchase an "out of country" car---you are throwing money out of our auto industries & into theirs. Remember this will jack up our taxes and other negatives for our countries. (Canada & USA).

Chrysler/Dodge is now "FCA" = Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, US. See:
FCA US LLC - Formerly Chrysler Group LLC

Dodge is now selling the Fiat Ducato Eurovan in a cab chassis version to North American RV makers under the Promaster brand.
And the market is hot with these Eurovans...the Sprinter (was Dodge, now Freightliner), Ford's Transit, and the Promaster arexall being used to make RV's.

Just do an internet search for Promaster to see the models available.

It is noteworty that these Class C's and B+ RVs are smaller than the American van style RV's, but no worry, Ford's E Series and GM's full sized vans are still on the assembly lines.

Safe travel

We have an '08 dodge sprinter, with 2010 24' Fleetwood Pluse. Honestly, it is a dream to drive. We had a ford V10, same size and it was like driving a truck. Also the V10 had coil problems. It was under powered for some hills and got 10 mpg regardless of driving condition. The MB V6 diesel is like silk. The problem I have with US made chassis and mechanicals is they are build cheap to make a profit. The only thing that concerns me on the Fiat/Promaster is single rear wheels and Americans tending to load heavy. Still, they are sweet looking vehicles.

So you want an Italian built Dodge-branded van chassis for motorhomes because you're concerned that the German built Dodge-branded vans were talking over the market?

Is there still a truly american car?
Most chevys are made in mexico,
Most steering columns are manufactured by thyssenkrupp a German company.
There are many many other parts that are sourced by the big three from oversees companies. I don't believe any of the electronics for any auto manufacture are american made.

Last but not least Fiat Chrysler is not an american car company.
