Class c road noise

I have a question about the road noise I get when I’m on the freeway. It sounds like there is no insulation under the floor and I’m also getting a lot of wind noise from the slide out. I do have 2 slide out lock bars which helped with the creaking noises but not the wind noise.
Is the road noise and the wind noise a normal thing with class c? Do class a’s experience the same issue?

I sprayed auto undercoating (rubbery stuff) in my front wheel wells from underneath. It is quieter, easy and cheap to do.

Thanks. Well the road noise seems to be come from behind the cab to the rear wheel area. I thought about trying to frame in something under the floor an insulate that. Not sure if that will work.

Road/wind noise is all a function of how well the RV is built. I'm fortunate to commercially drive almost every brand of motorhome on the market and the cheaper ones are the noisiest while the higher end coaches tend to be the quietest. You get what you pay for.

Tend to agree here as we do not get road noise with our Class C. Do get some wind noise, but that is almost the nature of the beast having a front overhead bunk.

Thanks everyone for your response to my issue. I did look at the bottom of the camper and it looks like I can put a 3/4 form board on the underside and cover it with galvanized sheet metal then get some rustproofing sprayed. It’s a bit of a wild idea but I’ll willing to try it.

We just traveled 3,000 miles in our 99 Class-C Ford chassis Gulf Stream 26-ft w/ two slides; Road Noise was not an issues, so I would be looking at your slide wiper seals and storage position gaskets. We had an issue with our kitchen hood exhaust flapper rattling and found that running the exhaust fan was the easiest cure, but see online some options to replace where we can lock flapper down for travel. Of course, road surface and/ or tires maybe an influence also?
