We just bought a four winds chateau 35B. One of the "super C" style. We love it so far. Thor built it and compared to my father's class A Winnebego, it is every much built as well as his. Our main reason for this coach was the Duramax engine. She pulls our Honda accord over donner pass at 55mph no problem. Tranny doesn't go over 170 degrees ever! Jayco was first on our list but build quality seemed about the same so...
Good luck with the search. No matter what, I would go with a diesel platform over gas. My father drove with me and couldn't believe the power difference between his gas vs this diesel.

We bought a Four Winds (Thor) in July, model 31L. We really like this floor plan. Very similar to the 07 Minnie Winnie we had for 5 years. Several small things need to be taken are of by the dealer when and if we get it back from the body shop.
I would not have a problem recommending this MH.
Thor quality today I believe is as good as Winnebago. The prices are almost identical when optioned identically.

We just returned from a 3-week rental in a 2013 Thor Citation 24SR diesel (MB Sprinter chassis).....it drove like a dream and got great mpg (16-18 consistently), however I wouldn't consider buying one after being in it for 3-weeks - too many little things went wrong or broke.
The back slide, by week 2, was rattling as it went out or came in.
The bathroom door wasn't a real door, but a folding type door, the screws that kept it mounted to the slide thing came unscrewed and the door flew off its track while I was driving.
The screws in the main door on the side kept coming unscrewed, so I bought a screwdriver to screw them each night so they didn't come out.
The grey water holding tank is very small.
You cannot put two pots/pans on the two burner stove - it's very small.
The door cover (on screen door) just fell off when driving.
Driving down a fairly smooth, but dirt road, the entire inside was covered in dust and the storage compartments had a lot of dirt in them....the interior dust was shocking to me, I wasn't driving fast and the road wasn't at all bumpy.
Upon cleaning the last night - found five screws I have no idea where they came from.
The bathroom door is very lightweight and was scratched when the door came undone. The door also had spring issues in the lock about a week into the trip.
The black tank leaked ever so slightly, daily - I dumped almost every day and each time I removed the cap, a small amount of greenish smelly water hit the ground - not a puddle, but enough to be gross.
Despite all that, I'm hooked - we had a great time and the convenience of the RV with the kids - we're now trying to figure out what to buy since we know what we are not going to buy!

Regencys have been around for a long time...great units for the price.
Jayco is where it's at though. Get a Jayco on a Ford Chassis, and you have a dependable unit that can be serviced just about anywhere. I'm not knocking sprinter, but your region is like mine, you can count the Mercedes/Chrysler "Business Link" dealers (aka: dealers that are well trained on Sprinter vans) on one hand...and have plenty of fingers left over. They are few and far between in rural areas. You can drive hours and not even find one. Ford dealers....different story.

We have a 2010 Regency GT29DBS and love it. We get between 9 and 10 mpg towing a GMC Envoy. We keep our speed around 60, and take our time getting up to speed. There are only a few things we would have different. We would rather the entry door be away from the edge of the awning so we could leave it open during a heavy rain. We put shelves in the entry coat closet for food storage. We had a cover made for the stove to increase counter space. That's about it. Hope you really enjoy yours as much as we do.

We just traded in our Coachmen Freelander 21QB for a Winnebago Access Premier 26 QB. We bought it used from a guy who bought a 31' Winnebago. It has a lot of nice features, walk around bed and a slide. We travel with dogs so the slide really makes a difference in floor space. There are many to look at and compare - took us a long time to make a decision.
