This Minnie Winnie is towing an Aerolite travel trailer. I spotted it at the KahNeeTah resort in Warm Springs, Oregon. That would make for a lot of sleeping quarters!

I talked to the owner. Young family owns the 24 foot Winnie. They have triplets and brought the inlaws along for the weekend. Rented the travel trailer. First time doing this setup. I noticed that they were using a 50 amp to 30 amp Y cable to power the two rigs from the same power pedestal.

I didnt think most C classes could tow much over 3500 lbs. It must have been a diesel maybe. My 37g is only rated for 5000 lbs. I dont think I could pull a trailer that big.

I've got a tag axle and wouldn't even consider this. I think milage would be measured in FEET per gallon not miles. Think about it 3 babies worth of STUFF after just bringing 1 baby no way. You would need the trailer just for their stuff.

Looks like an accident waiting to happen...those folks clearly didn't come on here and ask about capacities before they hooked up. Ignorance is bliss, I guess- just hope nobody else gets taken out if the whole setup gets in a wreck.

But while we're on the subject of "too much load for the tug":

What the heck IS that hangin' off the back end of that six or seven thousand pounds of trailer???

Oh boy I was gonna do the same thing this may long weekend i have a Terry 24c and was gonna pull it 30 miles with my 26ft class c , honestly at 3600lbs with trailer brakes, I figured its a lot safer then pulling my 2800lb boat without brakes

The Class C is an E450. V10. They (the family) normally tow a boat. I suppose since this is a 24 foot with an E450, it actually has decent GCWR for towing. He has to be right at the limit though with an aerolite with a slide.

If my math is right, the 24' m/h on an E450 chassis would have a 22k GCWR and a curb weight of about 12k (based on my 24' C). That leaves ~10k for something out the back and I doubt that trailer is much over half of that.

I have a friend with a 24' C they bought solely as a 'support vehicle' for his son's race team. It pulls a 24' tandem axle enclosed trailer. He says it pulls it no problem, steers and stops (2 braking axles on the trailer) almost the same, trailer inch or not.

Looks like to me that they are setup (camp site) hoses all out and the overhang on the back looks like a rear slide out.......

Yeah I don't see a problem either. As long as he is within his vehicles spec towing numbers he is fine. And only he would know what those numbers are.

I think it's a great idea. One for the kids and one for the adults!!!
