Coach radio for 2001 Tioga 23E

Hi all,
I purchased a well-maintained 2001 Tioga 23E, and have a question about a coach radio. This unit has an external media center with two speakers and there are two speakers in the coach section. There is no coach radio, and I do not see where or if the coach speakers would attach to a radio. Has anyone installed a coach radio in a unit like this? If so, where did you find the speaker wires? The dash radio does not play through the coach speakers. Many thanks.

The 2001 Tioga brochure shows that an outside entertainment center is standard. It's located outside of course, inside a hatch on the passenger side of the rig. If the hatch is there but nothing inside, I'd say someone took it out when it stopped working.

I know they're all different, but my 2005 Tioga 23e's dash radio puts out sound from the normal dash speakers AND the two coach speakers in the ceiling of the living area....so when you're listening to a radio, CD, or cassette, the sound plays from the dash speakers AND the coach speakers....and when using the dash radio's AUX button, then the coach's TV sound plays thru these same speakers....if you do not use the dash radio/AUX button, the TV is silent....the only place I've seen speaker wires for the coach speakers is behind the dash radio, when i removed the radio to re-route the radio's power directly to the coach battery (this wire shorted out between the dash radio and coach battery, so i ran new wires, rather then cut and splice the shorted section)...the dash radio has two RCA jack plugs that the TV plugs into, for the AUX button to run the TV sound.....a person would have to start at the dash radio and trace wires out of the back of the radio to try and figure out where the coach speaker wires are routed....but they should be somewhere behind the dash radio....im sure the cei,ing speaker wires are routed in the roof somehow, but i have no idea where they exit the roof section and head for the dash radio....my guess would be around the TV area.

The exterior entertainment's radio is located in the exterior bay, along with its two exterior speakers, also in the exterior bay.....these play seperate of the dash radio, theyre a stand alone system.....so, outside use only with the exterior radio and speakers. These speaker wire are accessed from under the dinette seat by the door and travel a whopping one foot, from radio to each speaker on either side of the radio.

Hope this helps a little in the understanding of the system and maybe where to look

Thank both of you for the helpful suggestions. I am going to install a new radio in the dash and will poke around for coach speaker wires.
