Coachmen Concord

We are considering buying a new Coachmen Concord. Does any one have experience and/or comments about these motorhomes?

Ford Concord is quite strong

We bought a 1983 Ford Concord about 4 yrs ago now. I have been slowly restoring it. I had to add my own generator but had lots of room in one of the unused basement compartments. These have lots of that as well as a strong 460 big block ford motor that can suck the gas but has power. These were built on ambulance chassis so they do run well. I have only had one issue and that was fuel pump but after all it was 25 years old. I have had issues with the roof leaking a bit which can be bad for someone inexperienced with these kind of repairs. Mine is aluminum and appears to have small pitt holes all over it. Cant say what happened to it but I just put a good elastic rubber sealer on it every couple years and go on. I haven't had any issues since. Very strong dependable rig as far as mechanical goes but mine is a bit old so the interior is being slowly replaced and updated.

We owned a 2007 Concord for one year. I bought it thinking I would get better fuel mileage because it looked so aerodynamic and it was no different.
It was a handful to drive and had minimal storage inside and out.
Maybe they have improved themClick image for larger version

Thanks for your answer. We have decided not to buy the Concord and have bought a Winnebago Aspect instead. Safe travels!

I drove a 2018 new Winnie Aspect the other day and thought engine noise was very loud. Are all Ford v10s that loud? This was the 30 model with 3 slides

Compared to a rear engine DP, yes.
Insulation can be added to quiet it down, but honestly, we don't notice the noise in our 2005 Aspect. Guess we're just used to it.

We have not noticed that our 2018 Aspect engine is loud but I guess it all depends on what you are comparing it to. So far we are enjoying our new coach and are in the process of getting all of our accumulated "stuff" sorted and in place! First time we've done this in years and it's amazing how much you can accumulate!
