I was told that Coachman, To hold pricepoint, will be useing less expencive products in their later production 2010 class C motorhomes. Any truth or is this a sales ploy to get one to purchase early?

First, I'd forget anything the salesman tells you. They usually have the "story of the hour" to lay on customers.

All companies are struggling in an attempt to capture customers.

Maybe you need to add to the contract that since they do not have one and it is a new 2010 model, it is subject to your inspection and acceptance.

We bought a 2010 Freelander in April. There were two 09s on the lot and we chose the 2010 even tho there were several things that were cheaper. Now these were noticable so I hope that they didn't cut back on other things that we can't see. Ok, the noticable things. The 09s had the 4000 Onan gens. The light fixtures over the sofa and bed are the cheaper. There is no carpeting in the living area. On the 2010s, everything else that I can see is the same. I do like the dinette finishing better. The lights don't bother me. In fact I like to sit up in bed and read so the other would have hit me in the head. They were bullet lights. I do like the new style counter in the kitchen. Ours came with the Generac 3500 gen. We've taken a long trip and had occasion to dry camp and use the gen. and it worked great.
We were able to get a great deal on the 2010, much better than we could have gotten the 09. Our dealer has bought up every Freelander he can get because he said they will be discontinued or changed so much (Iforget exactly). They sell like hotcakes down here in Fl.
