Coleman mach RV comfort HP

Hello again,

Getting a bit concerned if I made the right choice in an RV.

At the beach camp ground in Delaware, ran my a/ c for the first time 30 amp all connections correct.

Ran for about 2 hours has stopped, fan runs but no compressor.

Circuit breakers ok fuses ok control panel fuse ok.

Tried to reset shore power nothing.

Brand new unit and this happens disheartening to say the least.

Please offer any repair here suggestions

Thank you very much,
Blueseal

Deleware. Its pretty humid outside right now, plus you're at the beach. Did you run your fan on HIGH? Can't run these things on A/C with the fan on LOW in high humidity. It'll ice up on you sometimes.

The new Mach units have two fans and motors instead of one motor with a fan on each end. The condenser fan on the roof was a six blade fan, but last year they went to a three blade fan. The original fans were a B series and had a high failure rate. They then went to a C series which may have been better, but still failed. They are now producing a D series which seems to have fixed the problem. The point of all this is unless you know for sure the condenser fan is running don't assume it's the compressor. If the condenser fan fails the fan inside will run but you won't get any cooling.

What has been said above. Other than the aforementioned fan issue....these units are pretty reliable. But, it needs to be on Hi fan in A/C mode. Compressor could have shut down because the expansion coil is frozen up. If the inside fan runs.... turn it on and see if it will thaw the coil.

When they are working right a lot condensate should be running off the top of the RV.

Sure you got 30A service????? You may be plugged in but maybe one leg of the connection is gone? Hot/Humid day at the beach and suddenly the A/C goes south.... might be a power reduction or maybe too many units fired up at the park. I'd try another pedestal....

Master Electrical "ON"?

Does it work on the generator??? Slight delay when starting after switched on...

Hi, yes checked ac power was correct, no did not run when generator was running.

Was 250 miles from home in the mountains too hot with no air had to come home the same day, thank goodness for engine a/c.

Going to camping world Monday hope they can do something.not happy at all with all this running to repair shop 70 mile round trip.

Oh well as long as they repair it properly.

Thanks very much for your advise.
