Considering buying new to us 2014Sunseeker 3010DS

Hello everybody
We have a 1995 Coachman Leprechaun 29, that I have done all the major suspension upgrades, Hellwig sway bars F&R, supersteer trac bar, roadmaster steering stabilizer, bilstein shocks, new tires, and ball joints. So now the old thing runs and drives quite well.
We want to venture out quite a bit further from home and think a newer MH is in the works. We are looking at 2014 Forrest River SunSeeker 3010DS,(at a dealer 580 miles away) with only 800 miles on it. It has everything the wife wants in it. and I like it and believe its a good price($59,900), but just worry about the handling. The dealer said I could turn it down once I get there. I just don't want to drive that far and come home mty handed.
My big question is does the Sunseeker come with just the very basic suspension and will have do all the above new parts on the Sunseeker ?

we welcome all your input

Its probably going to be very basic, I believe it will have Ride Rite air bags but thats it. At 800 miles it more than likely hasnt even been aligned to the FR standard.

Have you checked in RVTrader to see if the price is comparable to other units. No idea but I would check if I would be interested.

I plan to have my 2017 sunseeker gts 2800 aligned. Where would I find the specs for the alignment? Thanks.

These are from the FR owners forum submitted by the FR rep. They are several years old but still used on the forum. Depending on how long you've had your rig FR will pay for the alignment.Call customer service at FR to check. Be aware these are not Fords specs these are FR specs which should improve your handling.

My Sunseeker 3010DS is a 2016, it has air shocks on the rear. I like them. It rides smooth. I really like it. I don't know any more about the suspension.

HAVE the caster set to max. Look in the Ford forum for this subject.

We hope this works for you. I would be willing to bet the salesman is secretly counting on you thinking "they came this far and don't want to go home empty-handed. I got them here and have them right where I want them". All I would like to suggest two things for you to consider:
1/ Don't purchase with any preconceived ideas that you have to buy. Most of all, don't let your emotions dictate your need for this particular trailer. There are a ton for sale out there and you will both know when you found the right one, for the right reasons.
2/ Please have a look at Northwood and Outdoors RV trailers for quality comparison, before you buy. My hunch is that that same money will get you better quality.

Regards
Glen/Marg
