Considering purchase of 2005 Gulfstream 28 ft.

49000 miles, $11000? Any advice or things I should consider or look for?

Stains on the ceiling, soft spots in the floor, overhead bunk leaks and look down the sides for swelling of the lower section of the outside walls.

I had all of this on my 2000 Gulfstream C but I still used it until I traded it in, 2 weeks ago. I did partially rebuild the overhead bunk and patch up some roof leaks.

At 50,000 miles the drive train was solid.

The only major work was replacing the brake calipers. The rubber parts were rotting.

Thanks... good to know! I am new to the forum and renewed to Rving. Looking forward to getting out there again.
If anyone knows of inherent problems with this particular model I would also appreciate your expertise. This forum is great!!

All of the things twinboat mentioned can be found in any older Class C. With only 49k miles on it, it has probably been sitting a lot. So look for things like clogged burner in the fridge, generator carburetor clogged or dirty, fuel pump in the generator freezing up after running awhile in hot weather, tires with out of date codes, check belts and hoses, flush the brake lines and have the calipers checked. Also check for corroded ground connections etc.
Basically plan on spending another $5-6 K making everything right.
