Convert corner bed to gaucho couch?

I have a 2001 Fleetwood Jamboree 24 (25 foot motorhome) with a left rear corner bed and no slideout. Many other folks have RV models similar to this with the rear corner bed. I've wondered for awhile about converting my rear corner bed into a Gaucho Sleeping sofa like what is in the newer rigs, such as this one: 2013 Jamboree Sport DSL 24L | Fleetwood RV

I know that it would mean that I would lose part of my under bed storage that is accessible only from the exterior of the rig. Also, when the couch is not in the 'down' position, it means that the couch back/cushion would be in view of the rear window.

The good news though is that the water systems, holding tanks, etc. are NOT under this bed area!

The reason? This would give us an additional seating area/couch for when we don't have the bed down as well as seating that is other than the dinette and barrel chair when we are traveling down the road.

Anyone undertaking this type of modification? Tips, thoughts are appreciated.

To update, below is basically what I am hoping to change the area to look like from the corner bed.

Looks good, but I wonder if you would really use it? Sitting on the one side, you would be just looking at a very close blank wall.

Hmm.. good point about the view, although it's about when we have friends camping with us and some additional seating. Perhaps a mirror or flat screen TV on the boring wall. Other times, DW would sit with a pillow against the back wall, reclining and looking out the window.
