Cruise America

Hi folks, Anyone have any experience purchasing Cruise America RV's? Lots of miles but good warranty options. The prices look pretty competitive. The interiors look a bit industrial compared to other RV's.

If you are really handy and get a great price - it could be a good purchase. It would have to be 1/3 to 1/2 the price of a owner used vehicle. There is no telling what has been abused on the vehicle.

A buddy of mine purchased 2 class c from them, they were pretty much set on price but were open to repairs, new mattress , he didn't have any issue's outside normal RV issues. Has since upgraded to a new class A.

We rented a 30' unit in April in Las Vegas and turned it back in in Phoenix. Had about 35,000 miles on it. It ran very well, averaged just under 9mpg (V10).

It is a utilitarian interior and rough in some places. Cushions were cloth. Replacing cushions with something nicer would make it much better.

We saw some which were up for sale on turn in. They recondition them they take off the decals and rename them.

If I were looking for a starter unit I would give them a good look.
