Dash switches on 1997 Railta

Hi,
I am Terry and I live in France. I have just purchased a winnebago Rialta with a VW turbo diesel engine. On the dashboard I have two switches to the left of the steering wheel which I cannot find a use for. One has a quater inch diameter green light and the second has a small slot with a pinhead red light under the slot. Neither appear to do anything. I have tried to upload a photo but am not sure that it has worked but I would appreciate any help as regard to their uses. Also on most journeys after having travelled several kilometers there is something that goes " ping ping ping ". It always goes three times and I haven`t a clue what it is . Perhaps there is someone out there who can solve the mystery for me.

Hi - Does your Rialta have a passenger airbag? The slotted switch may be to disarm them if you have a child in the front seat. I know my GM truck had this. It was deactivated by sticking the key in the slot and turning. Not sure what the green light is.
You might try taking it to a VW dealer and see what they have to say about it.

I would expect to find anything Winnebago added in the Rialta Owners manual. If you do not have one then you need to order the manual from Winnebago (P/N 054185-F2-000)
