Exclamation Diesel class c battery question

Hi all! I have a 1985 gmc class c 6.2l diesel. I only have 2 batteries in this rig. The engine battery and glow plug battery located under van @drivers seat. The glow plug battery is shared with the coach via a converter.
My question is should the shared battery be a deep cycle? Since it'll be used and charged frequently? It is not currently....

Most class C RVs do have 2, (or more), batteries:
1.) A chassis, (aka:starting/engine), battery, (which is a not a deep cycle battery), and is used for all of the "truck portions" of the RV
2.) A house battery, or batteries, (which should be "deep cycle"), and is/are used to power all of the RV items/systems that are not on an ordinary truck.

BTW, it seems odd to me that on your coach the house battery is used to power the engine's glow plugs.
Are you sure that is the case?

Yes. Most large diesel trucks and vans have 2 batteries. 1 to crank and 1 for glow plug.

Actually I just double checked and there's 2 due to the large amount of cranking Amps needed....

I misunderstood your original question.
Sorry.

My diesel powered coach has 2 chassis, (starting), batteries also
Neither of the chassis batteries are deep cycle batteries

Does your class C also have 1 or more house batteries?
If so those should be deep cycle batteries, (but not the staring batteries),

No house batteries. The panel/ converter is wired right to the 2nd starting battery. I just rewired it because the cables were in horrible condition under the Rv so I'm positive there's no other coach batteries. I mostly plug in when camping anyways but the odd time is like to dry dock
