Newbie, first coach. After looking at DP, as my friends have them, decided too large and too expensive (used) for the first time out.
Looked at Class A gas coaches, price point much better (used or new) but no for various reasons and wife didn't care for them. AND (dumb me) measured shed door to find in only is 11ft 8 inches.

Thankfully we were leaning towards Class C which will be close on the shed door but should work.
We found our floor plan, like painted coaches, want stabilizer jacks and some other must haves for us. So all 3 coaches have comparable higher end option packages.
So down to :
2015 Jayco Greyhawk 29MV.
2015 Forest River Sunseeker 3010DSF
2013 Forest River Forester 3011DSF Slightly used (@4,000 miles) , warranties expire May 2015, have yet to determine if power train warranty is transferable.
Will be driving the two 2015 units this week, the 2013 is buried in storage so access date undetermined.
Winnebago and Thor have no nearby dealers so out of the running and had to thin the herd some how or would never decide.
Even though I can save a nice chunk of change on the 2013, like the idea of warranties on the 2015s.
We had hoped to purchase @May but if one of these 3 is "the one" it may be sooner.
This site has been paramount on weeding our way down to this point. Hours of reading, questions asked and answered so thanks to all.
Any input on our choices appreciated...now if I can just stay off RV sites and stick with our picks...

Welcome RV2015! Jayco would be my pick. We did a lot of looking before we purchased our 2013 Winnebago Aspect and I have to say, Jayco would have been our very close 2nd choice. We have purchased two new RV's (Airstream and Winnebago) and a used Lexington, after the Lexington, we decided we wanted the warranties, etc that came with the new Winnebago. The Lexington looked great, had low miles, 2 owners and tons of issues ($$$). Jayco, like Winnebago, has a reputation of great customer service...this is very important!!

Check the carrying capacity (OCCC) of all the coaches you are looking at. I was 4th and inches from buying a 29MV (only 1600 pounds available on it).

We came down to Jayco and Sun too... We went with the Jayco. Two year warranty and many Class A features in the Jayco over the SS. We also looked at Foresters and despite the theory the are a notch above, the design and finish were old school.

Our first RV was a 2005 25' Jayco Class C. Served it's purpose very nicely. Moved on to a 2008 30' Class A Winnebago. Very well built but rode like a bread truck. Didn't feel like putting a bunch of dough into the ride only to end up with a rig that still drove and rode like a Class A on an F53 Chassis. Went back to a Jayco Class C (2015 29MV) after a test drive convinced me how much better the drive and ride was. Yes, (one of my main concerns that kept me from buying a long Class C in the first place) it has limited CCC but we're conservative packers so we can keep it safe (stopped at an Oregon weigh station on our first trip out just to verify). We've found it to be very nice rig overall with sufficient amenities. The one thing that we dumped immediately after our shake down was the tankless water heater. It just doesn't work in an RV situation with limited flow and pressure. From what I've read about FR (RV Consumer Group), I'm rather skeptical about the quality of their products. Have fun with your decision!
