Early spring trip.. Should I re winterize?

April 1st will be my first time out in our motorhome that was purchased in December. I may be worried over nothing but it's looking like the temperatures are lower than I thought they would be. I only paid attention to the high when planning.

Average low is going to be in the low 30s with the average high being in high 50s. When it returns to storage. From what I read these are ok temperatures and I shouldn't have to be worried about re doing the winterization.

Should I redo the winterization? I was thinking of just making sure it is all drained.

That is a weather and geography question. How much faith do you have in the forecast?

I played chicken with the weather with my boat once. I cost me a pump head, a filter and two spigots.

I would not rewinterize, with those forecast temps, but would keep an eye on the temps for temps holding below freezing. If this happened I would use a low setting 40° or so for the furnace during a short freeze.

I would do a mini-winterization. Open the low point drains and faucets and drain down the water lines. If you are really concerned, use air pressure to blow the water out of the system.

I would at least blow it out. But absolutely drain the water heater, and tanks.
I stored in Vegas tow years ago taking a little teasing because I winterized, it dropped to 8 degrees.

good advice...i think i would also drain all the tanks and then blow the lines clear. you can get an adapter from walmart for a couple of bucks, and also a jug of rv antifreeze to dump into the toilet. it was 14 degrees here this week, so you can never depend on the weather, i wouldnt pay to get it re-winterized, but i certainly would spend a couple bucks and DIY so that i could sleep at night. maybe a small electric heater inside if it really got chilly and you didnt want to run the furnace
