Extended Warranty

I purchased my sunseeker new 1 year ago. I noticed that most appliances are covered under warranty for two years. My 2 newbie questions are do I wait until the 2 year mark to purchase an extended warranty and what extended warranty company do I purchase from? I have no idea which companies are reliable and easy to deal with. Hoping someone with experience can offer advice.

Don't waste your money on an extended warranty. Actually it's an insurance policy. The policy writer is in business to make money. In other words, they get paid more than they pay out.

Lots of good discussions here regarding extended warranties. A search will readily find them. I am usually not in favor of extended warranties, as one will come out dollars ahead over the long run by being self insured. One scenario I think an RV warranty can be used effectively is with the purchase of a used RV. Where you don't have a history firsthand and there may be latent large dollar hidden expenditures. In this case a 1 year warranty purchase can be an effective mitigation. At the 1 year mark, after having experience with the RV, determine whether to continue with the warranty.
