Warranties can only be offered by the original manufacturer of a vehicle, what you're looking at is a service contract or policy.
There are two types of them, inclusive and exclusive.
Inclusive only covers what is included in the contract.
Exclusive covers what is not excluded in the contract.
Most do not cover seals or damage caused by lack of maintenance. "
"If a covered part is damaged by a non-covered part, then neither part is covered" is a favorite clause.
Also, remember that they are written by attorneys to maximize profit for the company. The dealer profit on them is usually about 50%.
