Filling Propane Tank in Class C

We have had 6 fifth wheel trailers, but this is our first motor home. The propane tanks in the fifth wheels can be removed to have them filled at an RV Park. The tank in our Class C is installed in a compartment. Do RV Parks have long enough hoses to reach the tank?

IF there is a propane filling site AT the CGs they will have the same setup as a propane vendor.....hose/nozzle etc.
Some maneuvering of MH maybe necessary to get close enough ....just like might be required at a propane vendor

With a 'permanently mounted' tank the RV has to be moved to propane fill site......unless a CG has a Propane Truck that comes thru to service MHs on site

Usually. If they have a propane tank with quantity dials I would say that's what the tank is for, filling up your rig, collecting your money, again, wink.
Enjoy.

Normally yes but you still need to have the coach positioned correctly so the tank is as near as possible to the fill station. A bit like refueling from a gasoline pump. The hose has some reach but probably not enough to reach the other side of the coach.

I usually fill up at our local hardware store that fills propane tanks. They have a long hose with meter so they know how much to charge me.

Unlike your old tanks the one on your Class C is not filled by weight but by gallons.

Most Uhaul places also fill propane on RVs.

If your park is set up to fill RVs they will have the necessary hoses to fill you up.

Call their office and ask.

They have a kit you can buy that uses the 20 lb bottles and you don't have to move your unit to refill. I put one on mine after I bought it.

Yes the kit is available from Amazon. Fits in the line in the tank between the shut off and the white plastic covered regulator. Didn't take long to do and I mixed a a little dish soap and water to check the fittings after I put everything together. Just make sure the gas is off. Directions were good to follow.
