First time buying a 2012 coachmen freelander 32BH

My husband and I would like to purchase this 2012 Coachmen Freelander 32 BH with 18,000 miles on it in excellent condition for 49000.00. It has many extras. However, Our concern is the gentlemen has stored it inside since he has purchased it and is the original owner. He said he has never winterized it since he stores it inside. My husband is concerned as he thinks winterizing is important. What would you recommend checking when we drive it and take a look at it. We hope this unit has nothing wrong with it, seems like a great deal!!! We can't wait to travel in it with my younger son's. Thank you for your help. AnY advice is appreciated.

I guess that I would have a thorough inspection done of the coach by a third party. You didn't say what part of the country it was in to know wether winterizing was important. Make sure you check the NADA value. You are saying that it is a good deal but what are you basing that in? By the way, sitting is the worst think for any motorhome. Also, in my opinion Coachmen is at the lower end in over all quality. Even some of their largest motorhomes can be bought used fairly inexpensively.

Is his storage area heated? Did he say that he blows out the lines with compressed air? If he has one or both working for him, than you may be ok. Your profile says Illinois , so there is some concern. If the weather works, ask if he can put some water in the tanks and run through the lines.
