Fleetwood Pulse tires 3 years old when brand new unit sold

Just wanted to warn Fleetwood Pulse owners. We purchased our unit in October '09, immediately after unit was manufactured. we just had a delamination on one tire, November of 2011. we found out the tires were manufactured in beginning of '07- they were almost three years old when unit was manufactured by Fleetwood. Tire store who replaced them said another tire had a bubble and a third tire was in process of delaminating. So check the date of manufacture - luckily there was no accident involved, but it could have been disasterous.
by the way, i told fleetwood they should warn people the tires were old. they said it's a Kumho issue, not their issue - even though they were 3 years old when they put them on the unit

I suggest checking the build date of the chassis. The tires are installed by the chassis builder not the coach builder.
The tries would be warranted by Kumho, not Fleetwood.

One more testimonial for all RV buyers to check the date code on the tires when purchasing a coach, m/h, any kind of RV. Make it a condition of sale to get tires with date code within 6 months of purchase date. I made the same mistake and found at 3600 miles my Michelin's were junk. Michelin would not stand behind them saying they do not warrant checking. The date code showed they were 6 years old even though the coach was new.

Delamination of a 4 year old tire would fall under the tire manufacture warranty.
Fleetwood doesn't install or warranty any tire, on any of the vehicles they make.

Warranty ends at 5 years on truck tires

Kumhos ?? goodluck getting a warrenty on that. That is not one of the high quality brands of tires.
Sorry to hear about it.
