Ford f450 v10 class c factory oil type

I'm getting ready to change the oil for the first time in my 2012 Jayco Greyhawk Class C motorhome and would like to use whatever Motorcraft oil was put into it at the Ford factory. Does anyone know what type (Motorcraft Synthetic Blend or Synthetic) of oil the factory puts into their V10 F450 engine????

Hi ozzy,
This should be in your owners manual in the maintenance section.

We have the same platform and the original oil was the blend, however, I used Mobil 1 for the first oil change.

Read the owners manual and it will tell you the oils approved for use with an API designation or a similar designation. Pick the viscosity that will cover you operating range of temperatures and yo will be fine.

Ford says 5w 20 for the V10. When they first came out, Ford said 10w 30, then they changed it a few years later.

Should say right on the oil fill cap 5w20. Ford uses a blend. I stick with it.
