Ford seems to have slipped the release time-line for the Transit Van...was mid to late 2013 as a 2014 model.

Now it's published to be "Available summer of 2104" as a 2015 model:
Ford - Cars, SUVs, Trucks & Crossovers | Ford Vehicles | The Official Site of Ford Vehicles | Ford.com
Look at the small print under the nose of the white van.

And, for those that think this will put an end to the mid-sized Ford RV...Ford has already pulled the cab off the E-350/E-450 cab/chassis for sale to the RV up-fitters!

I'm waiting for the transit to be the cutaway for a class C. 25% mileage boost and a diesel option has an appeal.

Here are some UK examples. http://www.ford.co.uk/Commercialvehi...orhomesChassis

Yes, we may see some smaller C's in the future, but a lot more folks may also enter the market due to reduced fuel costs.

I'm for smaller class-c's. Just make them 8' wide. Not 7 like the Sprinters and Winnebago's Fiat Trend.

Unfortunately all these Euro-Vans are about 10" less in width than the traditional American version...in single rear or dual rear wheel versions.

Safe travels
