here is where I am now. Found out that the ground wire got disconnected from fuel pump. Could locate where the ground wire was connect, so connected directly to chassis. Cranked motor with fuel line disconnected, and got good fuel flow from tank. Connected fuel line back to carburetor, and was all set to fire it up, only to find out I was getting NO SPARK to the spark plug. Now as I said before I have heard and seen this generator, but only for a couple of minutes. i Checked the oil, its right on the line. Gas tank is full. Is there a shut off switch if oil runs low? Where is it ?
Can I disconnect it? Where to next? Any and help is appreciated

Try it with the disconnected wire grounded.
Onan used both NO and NC oil pressure switches/sensors.
When testing an Onan "oil pressure switch" the wire must be grounded on some models for the genset to run, (on others disconnected).

Still have no spark to plug. I have come to the conclusion that the generator is going to have to come out, and I am not quite ready to tackle that. I will save it for a winter project.
