Fuel Tank Capacity

I have a 1976 midas 226-ii the only manual I have gives me propane, water tank capacities. I am trying to find out the capacities of my gas tanks. It has a switch inside of the cab to switch between aux and main. Thanks

Yea, probably not another 1976 midas owner here. That thing is based on a GMC Vandura, so you could poke around for "replacement" fuel tanks and see what you find.

Alternatively, get under there and measure their size... That should give you approximate volume of gas.

Well, since theirs no available info and you have 2 tanks here is a suggestion. Drive on the main tank until it runs out switch to aux tank and head to a gas station and fill the main tank and take note. Then do the same for the aux tank.
Happy driving.
